About

Hello and welcome to my site!  I appreciate you stopping by and giving me your attention.

This site serves primarily as a personal blog.  When I created this site in early 2016, I was using it as a way of motivating myself and tracking the things I was learning on my path to becoming a paramedic, hence the title – “A Paramedic’s Notebook.”

Plans have altered slightly.  I’ve recently decided to put a hold on paramedicine to focus on building stability with my partner as she gets her career up and running.  I may return to a pursuit for medicine in the future, but in the meantime I want to focus on the important things in front of me.

What does that mean for the site?

Short term: not much.  The topics will vary a little wider now as the focus isn’t strictly about medicine.  I’ll still post things of interest, but you’ll largely see me musing about things that are on my mind or that I’m dealing with.

Long term: I don’t know yet.  I’m still searching for my voice on this site, and I haven’t settled on what I want to focus on here.  I’m open to see where it takes me.

I read a wonderful quote from author Neil Gaiman that resonated with me.  I thought it perfectly sums this site for me, and I shall close with it:

“I write to find out what I think about things.”
