Out Of Office

Hey Reader!

Sorry for missing my post last week. Things got really busy at work as we were winding down the semester. Now it’s a few days past Christmas and, like many other folks, I’m enjoying some needed downtime.

I’ll be back on January 10th with a new post.

Moving Day

Our family is moving houses today, so unfortunately I haven’t had time to prepare a formal blog post. Instead, I’ll use this post to celebrate my wife – moving during a pandemic is hard and being a first time mother is really challenging, yet somehow she has managed to pull together all of the logistics of the sale and move, and packed nearly everything in the house, AND been a wonderful mother to our son, while I am working from home.

She’s Awesome.

On Late Posts

Despite my promise to do better on the Friday before last, I did not get a post up this past Friday (largely due to a report at work that kept me occupied during the day) AND I had no post ready yesterday (largely due to not keeping a regular writing schedule).

I’ve found sense of pride in not missing a weekly deadline for the last few years, but things have ground to a halt recently. I’ve let my workflow dry up in favour of short dopamine hits (my distraction of choice being YouTube) to take the edge off of the anxiety around not getting work done.

Thankfully, I have some time off of work coming up, which will help with recharging the old creative batteries. I’ll be back next Monday with a real post.
